Maria Jose Perez reigned supreme in the 2017 Chooks-to-Go PSL Grand Prix as she took home the Most Valuable Player award.

The Venezuelan import delivered the final point that clinched the title for the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers as they overpowered the Petron Blaze Spikers in four sets on Saturday. Perez towed her team to the crown as she averaged 21 points in the best-of-three championship series.

To add to their trophy, four more Cargo Movers notched individual awards, namely Majoy Baron (2nd Best Middle Blocker), Kim Kianna Dy (2nd Best Opposite Spiker), Dawn Macandili (1st Best Libero), and Kim Fajardo (Best Setter).

The Blaze Spikers’ duo of Hillary Hurley and Lindsay Stalzer received the Best Outside Spiker awards as they powered their squad to a runner-up finish in the conference. Mika Reyes bagged the 1st Best Middle Blocker plum, while Yuri Fukuda was recognized as the 2nd Best Libero.

The Foton Tornadoes’ Jaja Santiago was named 1st Best Opposite Spiker, while their import Sara Klisura received a Best Scorer in a Match citation. The Serbian reinforcement generated 41 points in the game that dealt F2 Logistics’ their first loss last November 25 in Batangas City. This broke the previous 40-point scoring record set by Mane ‘N Tail’s Kristy Jaeckel in 2014.
