Twenty-four hours after arriving in the country, Gilas naturalization prospect Isaiah Austin attended his first practice with Chooks To Go Pilipinas Wednesday night at the Meralco Gym.

Austin arrived around an hour before practice tipped off and was immediately given his official practice uniform. The seven-footer was informally introduced to the other players present before plunging into practice with the rest of the crew.

Austin appeared to be in top shape as he went through the different drills. He showed off his leaping ability with a couple of rim-rattling dunks as well as his shooting touch by sinking some corner threes.

The players who assembled for practice included Kiefer Ravena, Jeron Teng, Jett Manuel, Raymar Jose, Bright Akhuetie, Robbie Herndon, Gab Banal and Mikee Reyes.

Also present were PBA players Calvin Abueva, Terrence Romeo, Norbert Torres, Carl Bryan Cruz, and Jonathan Grey. It was not immediately clear, though, which of the pro players will be made available for this Chooks To Go Pilipinas team that will participate in the FIBA Asia Champions Cup which reels off on September 22 in Shenzhen, China.
